I'm Heidi Hackler, a Functional Wellness Coach, Reiki Master, and Author. I know it takes a village to feel well. And I'm here to help! I've been where you are and felt like you’re feeling. And I've turned my own wellness issues around using the same knowledge that I’m now helping my clients to learn.
The saying "put on your own oxygen mask first” doesn’t just apply to flying. It’s one of the most important things you can do for your own health. So let's make sure your cup is overflowing into all areas of your life!
I believe in a holistic approach to health and wellness. As a Functional Wellness & Nutrition Coach, I’m passionate about helping you learn how to restore balance and function in your body—because I had to do it for myself!
A holistic approach to health and wellness
This means we look at the big picture: how all parts of your life affect your health and your wellness as a whole.
Is stress at your job or in your relationship causing you to overeat?
Is your afternoon coffee or chocolate snack causing your insomnia?
Is a thyroid hormone imbalance causing your low energy?
Is your lack of sleep or low energy preventing you from exercising?
The approach I use is not to dwell on counting calories, carbs, fats, proteins (macronutrients/micronutrients), or body weight. And it’s not to create lists of restrictions or “good or bad” foods or things you "should or shouldn't" be doing.

No room for shame or blame here
Nor do I dwell on the "name" of your disease or condition. The truth is, with any disease or condition, a bunch of symptoms are lumped together and named "ABC disease" or "XYZ condition".
Sadly, today most "health care" follows the model of "name it, blame it, and tame it"—instead of looking for the WHY behind what's ailing you. And those symptoms can have wildly different root causes for everybody.
No cookie cutter approach here either
Bio-individuality means every BODY is different. And what's at the root of your ailments may be totally different than what's at the root for someone else with the same named disease. And the body doesn't just fall apart suddenly, for no apparent reason. The body's default is always going to be wellness. So it has likely taken years to get to the point where you feel this crappy. And when you're not feeling your best, that's a good clue that something is out of balance.
That's why working together we'll "peel back the layers of your onion" to get to the root causes of YOUR health imbalances. Empowering you to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun & rewarding for you is my goal!

We all know that when you're not feeling your best it’s just not possible to show up as the best version of yourself—for your family, your friends, your pets, your work, and most importantly, for yourself!

Most days you can find me on a swing set, climbing trees, hula-hooping, or swimming in the ocean, and I'm nearly 60!
